This site is designed to empower, educate, and inspire healthcare providers who have made the bold decision to leave large practice settings and establish their own solo medical practices. Drawing from our extensive experience in various healthcare environments—such as the VA, county hospitals, and academic systems—we firmly believe that private medical practice offers the most rewarding and fulfilling model for both practitioners and patients across most specialties.

We recognize the growing dissatisfaction with the current healthcare system. There was a time when physicians, working independently, commanded greater respect, and their relationships with patients were more personal and meaningful. Unfortunately, today, much of the dissatisfaction is unfairly directed toward doctors, when the true issue lies within the system itself—large medical practices and bureaucratic structures that often erode the doctor-patient relationship.

These systems introduce layers of bureaucracy that can foster mistrust between patients and their providers. Doctors, who are deeply committed to their patients, often feel disconnected from the care they provide due to these external constraints. It can feel as though the rewards and recognition for their hard work are increasingly scarce, leaving many in a thankless position.

However, there is hope. Independent doctors and small private practices continue to offer unique advantages—such as greater patient satisfaction, flexible schedules, a healthier work-life balance, and the potential for financial success. This site aims to support more healthcare providers in embracing independence, helping them navigate the transition and reclaim their role as true advocates for their patients.

While the healthcare system may currently be influenced by bureaucracy, it is important to remember that doctors are still the face of healthcare. Together, we can take charge once again, advocating for a system that truly works well for both physicians and patients.
